NFT Markets
While there still seems to be brands and celebrities getting involved in the NFT space, the markets seem to be clearly dismal. Over the couple of months, weekly volumes have hovered between $150M-$300M from a peak of $6B+ in January.
As hype dies down and the crypto winter continues, it’s likely that the NFT markets will remain cold.
Projects launching in this space should rethink the value and utility instead of just storytelling to build hype.
Web3 Game Guilds Report
I typically enjoy skimming through the monthly Web3 gaming reports from DappRadar for a macro overview of all the happenings.
The recent one on Game Guilds by DappRadar and ByBit is rather insightful. I’d recommend you read the entire report. But here are a few charts to catch your fancy.
The combined circulating market capitalization of game guilds is $263 million based on data from CoinGecko.

YGG’s published data indicates that growth in Q1 has slowed down although SubDAO numbers help prop up the total numbers.
Axie Infinity is the largest cash cow for YGG. With the game in a downward spiral, this doesn’t bode well for YGG and other guilds.
YGG token completed a year in existence. The team published on their blog sharing some of the things they’ve worked on, and have lined up.
I’m personally curious as to what the future holds for game guilds. We’d spoken with Rich Cabrera of ReadyPlayerDAO a month ago; here’s a summary of our conversation on Twitter Spaces.
